What makes a good game? It can be argued that there is no science to art, but I disagree. Games boil down to numbers (who has more HP, resources, etc.) and numbers are math. These articles will help you to better understand game design or at least give you something to think about. Many of them are universally applicable, meaning that they're worth considering in a fighting game, first-person shooter, or RPG. Power Relationships - How are the forces in your game related?
